COVID-19 SOP’s

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted lives across the world and affected health and wellbeing, finance, schooling, social interactions and much more. AL HUDA SCHOOL stood in solidarity with its students and parents to ensure that children stayed connected with their teachers, peers and most of all their education in these trying times.

We are well aware that parents will have many questions about how schools will endeavour to make their campuses safe for students. We would like to unequivocally state that the health and wellbeing of our children are of utmost important to us at AL HUDA SCHOOL.

TWO MODELS OF LEARNING

FACE TO FACE CLASSROOM TEACHING

During Face to Face teaching each class divided in to two group. One group will be attending school and students will sit a safe distance of 1 metre from other students. Teacher will be vigilant about maintaining this distance during class time. When hey are not teaching in classes, they will be on duty to make sure that students keep their distance.

ONLINE CLASSES VIA ZOOM CLOUD MEETING

Online classes via ZOOM introduced where IT integrated lessons will be taught to the students. It will be fully functional in pandemic and students will benefit from this system. Homework, worksheets, activities, guidelines and direction will be given via ZOOM & Whatsapp.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Prevention and Control of COVID-19 in School

  • School will thoroughly inspect and review air conditioning and ventilation system in schools.
  • School will ensure proper daily cleaning and disinfection of high traffic area.
  • School will display signs related to preventative measures that can be adopted during COVID-19.
  • All school staff will receive information about standard protocols.
  • School staff will monitor body temperatures and any other signs of COVID-19 symptoms of everyone entering the building.
  • School staff will ensure that all persons entering the building are wearing face masks.
  • Students with symptoms will be politely asked to not enter the building by the school staff.
  • Hand Sanitization will be practiced at the entrances of the school.

Classroom SOP’s

  • To ensure social distance, teachers must ensure students are seated at the minimum of 1 metre apart from each other.
  • Ensure all students keep their masks on at all times.
  • Maintain social distancing in all class activities.
  • Ensure students’ hands are sanitized a minimum of three times a day.
  • Monitor to identify any signs of COVID-19 in the classroom.
  • If child shows any symptoms of COVID-19, immediately place the child in the medical room and notify the parents.

Guidelines for Parents:

  • Monitor your children’s health and keep them home if they have any symptoms related for COVID-19.
  • Ensure your children are equipped with extra masks and hand sanitizers before they are dropped off at school.
  • Teach and demonstrate good hygiene practices for your children.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water frequently. If soap and water are not available use appropriate sanitizers.
  • Ensure that safe drinking water is available and washrooms are clean at home.
  • Cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow and avoid touching your face eyes, mouth and nose.
  • Encourage your children to ask questions and express their feelings to our and their teachers.
  • Homemade healthy eating and exercise routines to be encouraged.

Guidelines for Students:

  • Students must maintain 1 metre distance from each other.
  • They must regularly wash hands and use hand sanitizer.
  • Students must follow the school timings given to hem.
  • Students must no share food or other belongings with anyone.
  • Students must not shake hands with other students.
  • Students must inform their teacher in class in case they are not feeling well.
  • Students must wear masks in the school premises.
