Ilm O Amal Program.
We understand that by entrusting your child in our care, you expect more from us than one would, from a conventional school. And that expectation and difference lies in the building of character, in helping the children cast themselves into the Sunnah mold and in teaching them the stark difference between right and wrong. We are forever striving hard to keep up with your expectations.
Our Vision by imparting education is not just that, education. Rather, it is also to identify exactly how that education is to be utilized in the rest of a student’s life. In this day and time, the Muslim ummah needs all the expertise it can get, in every field of life. Merely acquiring functional expertise in a domain might make an individual an expert in that discipline, but the purpose of life will remain lost on him due to a lack of vision.
An ace student with behavioral problems will fail to use his abilities to the fullest or might lose them altogether. A half-baked Muslim with moral inadequacies or incomplete Islamic realization, will either have a tendency to use his/her skill negatively or such that they’re conducive to the Muslim fraternity.
To cater this pressing need, we aim to produce strong individuals who are staunch patriots and complete in their personalities. Able to compete with the world and also model of Sunnah. So that when they enter their practical lives, they will maneuver all their abilities towards the service and benefit of the Muslim ummah.
Our role as mentors does not end after school hours. Character building is a 24 hour process and hence cannot be achieved in school alone. We aim to blur the boundary lines of school and home by homogenizing the lessons of school with implementations at home. And since this is not only a plan but a way of life, we cannot hope for success without the cooperation of parents.
In order to further endeavors to mould into better Muslims and thus better human beings, we have designed a program by the name of “ILM O AMAL”. The school and more importantly the parents will have a tangible progress trail, to judge whether the children are indeed living up to expectations.
The Details are as follows:
- A booklet on Aadaab will be provided to assist the parents to communicate Islamic etiquettes to their children. This will also act as a benchmark against which the parents will assess their child’s behavior. This assessment will then be recorded as, ‘Exemplary’, ‘Satisfactory’, or ‘Not satisfactory’.
The assessment shall be on the following aspects:
- Offering five times Salah.
- Quran recitation.
- Practice of masnoon duas.
- Practice of Islamic etiquettes.
- Obedience towards parents.
- Behavior towards siblings.
- Any other mentionable observations.
There will be two copies of this track record, one will be brought to school for assessment each week while other will be taken back to continue recording.
- Related support material will be sent to the parents occasionally.
- In order to motivate the children and develop their interest, students with the best assessments will be highlighted and duly encouraged by the school.
Remember positive reinforcement is the key to achieving success in this program. Lots of love, praise and encouragement do wonders for children. Harsh reprimands should only be used sparingly to have any affect at all. Tokens of appreciation in the form of fulfilling their small wishes should be awarded occasionally on good behavior.
Insha’Allah we will reap the benefits of our unwavering dedication in this world and after. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala Subhana transform these children into sadqah e jaria for us. Ameen.
Without your sincere support, we cannot hope to achieve any of our goals.
JazakAllah for your time and cooperation.
